“Taste Our Love For Hawai‘i” is an original four-part series, that brings the culinary and cultural stories of Hawai‘i to life on screen. Hosted by the Hawai‘i Food & Wine Festival founders, Chef Alan Wong, Chef Roy Yamaguchi and Denise Yamaguchi, the series explores and spotlights the natural beauty and bounty of Hawai‘i through the lens of chefs.
“‘Taste Our Love For Hawai‘i’ was developed during a time when visitors couldn’t travel to Hawai‘i, so we wanted to be able to showcase the diverse agricultural resources and products grown, raised and caught here in our islands. Whether it was agrotourism at Kualoa Ranch, fishing on the North Shore, the past and present of aquaculture on Hawai‘i Island or kalo’s (taro) connection to community, culture and ‘āina (land), the series introduced chefs to Hawai‘i’s culinary and cultural traditions, bridging cultures through the power of food.”
-Denise Yamaguchi, Executive Producer
This year, the 44th Annual Telly Awards saw a record-breaking number of entries—13,000 total from across the globe, as well as top video and television content producers such as BET Networks/BET Digital, Disney, NASA, Paramount, PBS Digital Studios and more.
